The Life of BARBARA JEAN HARVEY CAPPS
Barbara Jean Harvey-Capps, 56, of the 4300 block of Northwest 11th Court died of ovarian cancer Friday at Mercy Hospice-Johnston. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Harvey-Capps lived in Des Moines all of her life. She was a retired receptionist with Deluxe Check Printers. She enjoyed the YMCA, following Drake University athletics, and animals, especially her cat, "Tessa."
She is survived by her husband, James; her mother, Icle Hunt of Des Moines; and+ two brothers, Jerry Hunt of Johnston and Larry Hunt of Saylorville.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice-Johnston or the Animal Rescue League.
