The Life of GEORGE DANIEL BERRY
George D Berry, 63, of Indianola died of a heart attack Saturday at Mercy MEdical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 1:30 pm Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Indianola, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Berry was born in Des Moines, and had lived in Norwalk and New Virginia before moving to Indianola in 1964. He had worked for Harold Freight and as a custodian at the Indianola Schools. He was a member of IOOF Lodge and Rebekah Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Peggy Kirkpatrick of Indianola and Betty Johanssen of Mitchellville; a sister, Ruth Ann Hughes of Osceola; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 pm today at Overton Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 pm. An Odd Fellow service will be held at 7:30 pm Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianola Fire and Rescue Department.
