The Life of DEAN W KNORR
Dean W. Knorr, 73, of the 300 block of Northeast 50th Ave. died of cancer Saturday at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Services will be today at 2 p.m. at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Knorr was born in Greenfield and lived all his life in Des Moines. He was a retired dispatcher and delivery man for a freight company. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He had served on the Saylor Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of American Legion and the Teamsters.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie; a son, Gary of North Liberty; a daughter, Linda Knorr of Des Moines; a sister, Shirley Wright of Logo Vista, TX; and three grandchildren.
