The Life of HENRY SWAN OSTLIN

Henry Swan Ostlin, 77, of Prairie City, died of a kidney ailment Saturday at a Mesa, AZ hospital.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Westover Funeral Home, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Born in Burns County, MN, Mr. Ostlin lived in Prairie City for 40 years.  He was manager of Prairie City Concrete Products Co. and owned H.S. Ostlin Co., both in Prairie City, and was a cattle farmer and breeder.

He was a former mayor of Prairie City; a member of the board of directors of the State Bank of Prairie City, a member of Preston Masonic Lodge 218 in Prairie City, Auburn Order of the Eastern Star, Des Moines Consistory and the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie, and a niece, Christin Gerrety of Minneapolis, MN.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriners' Crippled Children's Hospital.

Friends may bcall from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
