The Life of MARGARET M WALKER
Margaret M Walker, 84, of the 600 block of Oak Park Avenue died of a heart ailment Wednesday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Highland memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Walker was born in Fath, SD and had lived in Des Moines most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of her church''s Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
Surviving are two sons, John and Richard, both of Des Moines; three daughters, Virginia Hanrahan of Cumming, Charlene Zahorik of Shellsburg and Darlene Lawrence of Central City; a sister, Victoria Smith, and a brother, Joseph Funk, both of Edgewood; 13 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Highland Park Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 5 p.m.
