The Life of WINONA MAXINE PETERSON
Winona Maxine "Nona" Peterson, 67, of 1301 E. 33rd Ct. died of cancer Sunday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grandview Park Baptist Church, of which she was a member, and burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Peterson was born in Newton and lived in Des Moines 62 years. She retired as a clerk-typist for the state.
Among survivors are her husband, Joe; four sons, Joe Jr. of Newton and Craig, Arne and Jeffrey, all of Des Moines; a sister, Belva Ellenwood of Ocean Park, WA; and 13 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
