The Life of IVAN MANNING YARD
Ivan M Yard, 82, of 1222 Douglas Ave, died of a heart attack Monday at home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Highland Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Yard was born in Perry and had lived in Des Moines for 56 years. He retired as a service manager for Thomas Electric.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; a daughter, Lois Snders of Reseda, CA; two stepdaughters, Maxine Matalone of Des Moines and Cleone Somsky of Urbandale; a sister, Gladys Leintz of Perry; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
