The Life of GERALD L FOOTE
Gerald L. Foote, 79, of 1005 39th St. died of cancer Saturday at home. Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren''s Funeral Home in West Des Moines. The body will be cremated following services and private burial of the cremains will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Foote was born in Lehigh and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He had been owner and operator of Dandee Diaper Service and Forest Rental Co. and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Gerald R. of Des Moines; two daughters, Shirley Hinders of Norwalk, and Colleen Kaiser of Rochester, NY; a brother, Harold Foote of Urbandale; two sisters, Henrietta Cahal of Des Moines and Mary Phillips of California; and four grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
