The Life of BERNICE ADELE SMITH

Bernice Smith, 95, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2006 at Mercy Hospice Johnston from complications of Alzheimer''s.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, 2006 at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Bernice was born January 10, 1911 to Glenn and Louie Ford in Buhl, Idaho. She married Raymond Gilbert Smith and had eight children.  Bernice was a member of the Easton Place United Methodist Church.  She worked at the ordinance plant to support the war effort during WWII.  Bernice was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly.

Bernice is survived by her children, Ray (Ellen) Smith, Beverly Wade, Jerry (Becky) Smith, Glenn (Beverly) Smith; 31 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Miller and Wilma (Gerald) Wallace; sons--in-law, Buddy Bellis and Dick Dyer; daughter-in-law, Pat Smith; and a host of other family and beloved friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband, sons Jack and Paul Smith; daughters, Betty Dyer and Joy Bellis; brothers, Loren and Paul Ford; sisters, Aline Custer and Valeta Ballard; and grandson, David Smith.
