The Life of PAUL M TOMETICH

Paul M. Tometich, 72, of the 1500 block of Delaware Avenue in Ankeny, died of a heart attack Sunday at home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Visitation Catholic Church in Des Moines, of which he was a member. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines. Mr. Tometich was born in Des Moines and lived here for many years before moving to Ankeny three years ago. He was retired from A.Y. McDonald and had worked part-time for Dahl''s Food Marts. He was a member of Croatian Fraternal Union No. 64 and a past president of his church''s council. He enjoyed gardening and family sporting events. He is survived by his wife, Mary; three sons, Vince of Ankeny, Chris of Winsdsor, Colo., and Andy of Meylan, France; a brother Anton Tometich of Muscatine; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, American Heart Association or Hospice of Central Iowa.
