The Life of MYRON L BRAUER

Myron L. Brauer, 66, of 2611 Fifty-seventh St. died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday at his home. The death was ruled a suicide. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Born in Adel, Mr. Brauer had lived in Des Moines for 37 years. He was a retired truck driver for Ringsby Transportation Co. and was a member of Teamsters Local 710 in Chicago, IL., and American Legion Post 663 here. He served in World War II. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Charles E. of Des Moines and James H. of Altoona; two daughters, Janice M. of Springfield, Mo., and Deanna L. Long of Maxwell; four brothers, Marion of Los Angeles, CA., Jerold of Van Meter, Robert of Des Moines and Howard of San Diego, CA; and 10 grandchildren. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
