The Life of JOANNE THACKER
JoAnne Thacker, 62, of 1937 SE Thornton Court died of cancer Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Miss Thacker was a lifelong Des Moines resident and retired after 35 years with Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of Jordan United Methodist Church and Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are two brothers, Alford and Phillip, both of Des Moines; and five sisters, Sharon Shoemaker of Des Moines, Phyllis Shearer of San Antonio, TX, and Carol Holt, Elaine Delmege and Barbara Bruntmyer, all of Minneapolis.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
