The Life of CHARLES G OVERTON
Services for Charles G. Overton, 56, of 4123 Ninth St., who died of cancer Thursday in Nevis, MN, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Highland Park Christian Church. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Born in Chariton, Mr. Overton lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was a maintenance supervisor for the Iowa National Guard at Camp Dodge and a member of Highland Park Christian Church, Auburn Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and Scottish Rite Bodies of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte; a son, Charles of Des Moines; a daughter, Vicky Knutson of Marion; a brother, Keith of Des Moines and a sister, Ilene Johnson of Clive.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Masonic services will be held at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to Highland Park Christian Church or the American Cancer Society.
