The Life of RONALD LEE ANDERSON
Ronald l. Anderson, 58, of 4101 Hampton Circle died of a liver ailment Wednesday at Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Anderson, a lifelong Des Moines resident, retired as an insurance agent for John Hancock and National Old Line. He also was a former building and ground engineer for Iowa Lutheran Hospital and had served 13 years in the Army and Navy.
Surviving are his wife, Marianne; two daughters, Terri Richards of Des Moines and Linda DeMoss of Knoxville; three stepdaughters, Mary Whitehurst of Mesa, Ariz., Lorraine Ahlberg of Des Moines and Diane Just of Columbia, S.C.; two sons, Ronald and Michael, two stepsons, Brian Ahlberg and Dennis Ahlberg, a sister, Sandra Robertson, and a brother, Thomas, all of Des Moines; six grandchildren; and 12 step-grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
