The Life of CORA LENA WARD

Services for Cora Lena Ward, 96, of 3903 East Twenty-eighth St., who died of respiratory complications Friday at Luther Park Care Center, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Staves United Methodist Church.  Burial will be at Highland Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ward was born in Smith County, KS, and moved to Des Moines from Franklin, IA in 1905.  She was a homemaker.

She was past President of Adams P.T.A. and belonged to Douglas Acres Golden Rule Club, Polk County Federation of Womens'' Clubs, and Staves United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Ralph of Des Moines and James L., Jr. of South Pasadena, CA; two daugthers, Hazel Jordan and Neva Ward, both of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to Stave United Methodist Church.  Hamilton''''s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
