The Life of WESLEY JOHN SCHLEGEL
Services for Wesley J. Schlegel,59, of 1017 SW Frazier Ave., who died of a heart ailment Saturday at Veteran''s Administration Medical Center, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Southtown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Schlegel was born in Story City and had lived in Des Moines for 42 years. He was a self-employed paint contractor. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 669 and the Izaak Walton League. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Fuller of Stuart, Joyce and Pamela, both of Des Moines; two sons, Steven and Jeffrey, both of Des Moines; three sisters, Velma Bachman of Kalamazoo, MI, Norma Price of Cedar Rapids, and Donna Smyth of Des Moines; a brother, Robert of Des Moines; and six grandchildren.
