The Life of RICHARD L HODGES
Richard L. Hodges, 59, of 1117 Garden Ave., died of a stroke Monday at Broadlawns Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hodges was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and a retired mechanic for the National Guard. He was a Marine Corps veteran and a member of First Church of Christ in Ankeny.
Surviving are his wife, Clara "Mickey"; three sons, Richard, Thomas and Danny, and a daughter, Peggy Horner, all of Des Moines; two brothers, Robert of Orange, TX, and Ralph of Burlington, NC; three sisters, Betty White of Hemet, CA; and Beulah Harper and Bernice Young, both of Des Moines; and 12 grandchildren.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
