The Life of FREDRICK WESLEY KOGER

Fredrick "Wesley" Koger, 79, of Marshalltown died of complications of Alzheimer''s disease Monday at Iowa Veterans Home there.  Services will be at 1 p.m.Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.

Mr. Koger was born in Decatur and had lived in Des Moines most of his life before moving to Marshalltown six years ago.  He was a retired tire trimmer with Bridgestone-Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.  He was an Army Veteran of World War II and had received a Purple Heart.  He was a member of Central Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; and a son, Phillip, Sr., both of Des Moines; a daughter, Phyllis Jenkins of Altoona; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present form 6 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
