The Life of GENEVIEVE O SMITH

Genevieve O. Smith, 98, died at her home in Windsor Heights on Sunday, December 4, 2005.  Funeral services will be held at Westover Funeral Home on Saturday, December 10, 2005 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to service time, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Genevieve was born in Carlisle on July 31, 1907 and lived most of her adult life in Des Moines.  She was a homemaker, a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, Daughters of the Nile, and Eastern Star.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Lauren (Sally Jo) Smith of Chico, CA; two grandsons, Chad Smith of Chicago, IL and Kevyn Smith of Seattle, WA; and long time companion Hermon Ross.  She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister and five brothers.
