The Life of JOHN L SULLIVAN

John L. Sullivan, 73, of the 200 block of Northeast Bel-Aire Road, Ankeny, died of cancer Friday at home.  The body was cremated and memorial services were held Saturday at Our Lady''s Immaculate Heart Catholic Church.  Burial of the cremains was at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Sullivan was born in Crookston, MN and had lived in Ankeny 40 years.  He was an Air Force veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Knights of Columbus.  He enjoyed gardening, bowling and golfing.  Although legally blind, he scored a hole-in-one a year ago.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae; two daughter, Kathy Hubbard and Tricia Cory, both of Ankeny; three sons, John Jr. of Des Moines, Jeffrey of Ankeny and James of Marshalltown; three sisters, and eight grandchildren.

Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
