The Life of ANTHONY C COMITO

Services for Anthony C. Comito, 78, of 1607 S Union St will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Comito died of emphysema, diabetes and a heart ailment Monday at Veterans Hosptial after an illness of five years.

Born in Naples, Italy, Mr. Comito lived in Des Moines most of his life.  He was a retired cement mason and a member of the Operative Plasterers and Cement Finishers Union Local 21 and the Belizzi-McRae Post of the American Legion.  He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include a son, Ernest A. of Des Moines; four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Ames of Des Moines, Mrs. Virginia Snow of Memphis, TN; Mrs. Barbara Wilkerson of Indianola and Mrs. Janice Kennedy of Houston,TX; two brothers, Joe of Fort Worth, TX, and Del of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Mrs. Malina Sirianni of Seattle and Mrs. Rose Ruggiero of Des Moines; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
