The Life of THELMA COLLEEN RICE
Services for Thelma C. "Connie" Rice, 58, of 2108 Grand Ave. in West Des Moines, who died Friday of leukemia at University Hospitals in Iowa City, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Open Bible Temple in Urbandale. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of the Des Moines area, Mrs. Rice worked as a private licensed practical nurse.
Survivors include a son, Daniel of Des Moines; two daughers, Billie Jean Fleshman of Honolulu, HI, and Gloria Colleen Grant of Seattle, WA; her mother, Marguerite Peel of Des Moines; two sisters, Alice McGrath of Iowa Falls and Rose Anne Johnson of Des Moines; a brother, Clarence M Peel of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Visitation will be at Westover Funeral Home until the funeral.
