The Life of GOLDIE MAE NIRK
Services for Goldie Nirk, 77, of Winterset, who died of emphysema Friday at Care Center North, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Mrs. Nirk was born in Ansley, NE and lived in Des Moines for 50 years before moving to Winterset 10 years ago. She was a former member of Rebekah Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Dean of Des Moines; a daughter, Beverly Holtmyer of Winterset; three brother, Charles Helms and Chris Helms, both of Nebraska, and Louis Helms of California; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
