The Life of IRA C RICHMOND
Ira C. Richmond, 79, of 507 E. Virginia Ave. died of lung cancer Wednesday at home. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Richmond was born in Cincinnati and had lived in Des Moines most of his life. He was retired from Capp Homes and was a member of Bethany Open Bible Church and the Teamsters union.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma; a son, Jerry of Des Moines; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 9 p.m.
