The Life of MARGARET M BRADY
Margaret (Gilliam) Brady, 93, passed away peacefully Monday, December 18, 2006 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Funeral services will be at 11am Friday, December 22 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Margaret was born August 5, 1913 in Des Moines, the daughter of James and Mabel (Philby) Gilliam. She worked for the State of Iowa, Department of Safety, and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, retiring in 1978. She was a member of Community of Christ Church, the Eastgate Order, and was Past Matron of the Eastern Star Chapter #538. Margaret is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, K. Don Brady, after 67 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Thelma Crawford. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday at the funeral home.
