The Life of DARYL W NEWBROUGH
Daryl W. Newbrough, 82, of the 4000 block of 66th Street, Urbandale, died of a heart ailment Saturday at university Hospitals in Iowa City. Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at Westover Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Newbrough was born in Dallas County and came to the Des Moines area in 1943. He retired as owner and operator of Valley Auto. He had been a member of Masonic Pioneer Lodge and formerly served on the Urbandale City Council and Board of Adjustment.
Surviving are his wife, Lavonne "Bonnie"; a daughter, Marcia Heaivilin of Indianola; three sons, Dennis of Urbandale, Glenn of Iowa City and Pat of Land O'Lakes, Florida; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The family will great friends from 5 to 7 pm today at the funeral home. Memorial contributations may be made to American Cancer Society.
