The Life of WILLIAM DEAN STEVENS
William D. "Steve" Stevens, 62, of 155 N.E. 54th Ave. died of cancer Monday at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Highland Park Christian Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Stevens was born in Emmetsburg and had lived in Des Moines for 41 years. He had been a foreman for Iowa Power and Light Co. He was a member of Highland Park Christian Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Jean; two sons, William Danny and Jeff, both of Des Moines; two brothers, Floyd of Des Moines and Parnell of Emmetsburg; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa or his church.
