The Life of THOMAS RANDALL BRAFFORD

Services for Thomas R Brafford, 19, of 4032 Eleventh St. who died of carbon monoxide poisoning Tuesday at home, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mel''s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Dr. Dale M Grunewalk, Polk County assistant medical examiner, said the death appeared to be a suicide. Mr. Brafford was born in Des Moines and lived here all of his life. He was a maintenance employee at McDonald''s restaurant on Douglas Avenue and was a member of All Sints Catholic Church. He was graduated from North-Tech High School. Survivors include his parents, T. Michael and Penny; four sisters, Roberta M VanArkel of Altoona, Rhonda Lynn Nagy of Germany, Rosalin K Smith of Ankeny and Pamella Sue Cuevas of Des Moines; grandparents, Barbara F Eddy and Clifford and Mary Brafford, all of Des Moines, G.C. Burch of California; and great-grandparents Gladys Young and Edward Brafford, both of Des Moines. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Highland Park Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today.
