The Life of RICHARD K NUTTER

Richard K. Nutter, 71, of the 3800 block of Northeast 14th St. died of a heart attack Monday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Nutter was born in Manton, MI, and had lived in Des Moines since 1963. He was a retired truck driver and an Army veteran. He was a member of the Teamsters and enjoyed CB clubs, salmon fishing, stock cars and NASCAR racing. He is survived by his wife, Rose; four daughters, Deanna Findlay of Bondurant, Dianna Knauss and Rhonda Stuart, both of Des Moines, and Jacqueline Nutter of West Des Moines; a son, Bruce Hixon of Bowdoin, ME; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines or Social Services.
