The Life of ROY GEORGE LAWRENCE

Services for Roy G. Lawrence, 71, of Clitherall, Minn., formerly of Des Moines, will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens.

Mr. Lawrence died of cancer Sunday at Clitherall after a two-year illness.

Born in Russell, Mr. Lawrence lived in Ankeny and Des Moines 53 years, spending winters in Wheatland, Mo., and summers in Clitherall the past four years.  He was a retired manager of a manufacturing company and a member of Auburn Masonic Lodge, White Shrine and Des Moines Printing House Craftsmen.

Survivors include his wife, Ellyn; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Ellen Carlson of Roseville, Minn.; three sons, Robert of Overland Park, Kan., Richard of Leawood, Kan., and Ronald of Clitherall; a sister, Mrs. Tiffin Tomlinson of Bondurant, and six grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society of the Polk County Association for the Mentally Retarded.
