The Life of GEORGE T DAVIS
George T. Davis, 59, of 209 Olinda Ave., died Monday at Mercy Hospital of emphysema after an illness of 10 years. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
Mrs. Davis, a lifelong resident of Des Moines, was a retired Iowa Packing Co. butcher and a member of Jehovah''s Witnesses.
Survivors, all of Des Moines, are his wife, Mary; two daughters, Coleen and Christine; five sons, George, Jr., Richard, Tommy, David and Gary; his mother, Mrs. Ethel Huckelberry; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys York and Mrs. Christine Barrett; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be John Astley, Everett Burgess, Clarence and Robert Baysinger, Mando Oliver and Glenn Johnson.
