The Life of CARL C OHRLING

Carl Ohrling of 1320 NW 75th St, died of a heart ailment Monday at the Veterans Medical Center.  He was 61.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Grace Lutheran Church, of which he was a member.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Ohrling, a Navy veteran of World War II and an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, lived in Des Moines most of his life and was a past master of the Masonic Lodge and a member of Des Moines Consistory and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.  He formerly owned Ohrlings Inc., an automotive paint store, and was currently a systems consultant with Eddy Electronic Systems.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia; a son, Michael of Phoenix, AZ; a daughter, Martha Coleman of LaVista, Neb.; his stepmother, Genevieve Ohrling of Rockport, TX; a sister, Barbara Tussing of Des Moines; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Westover Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Shriner''s Hospital for Crippled Children.
