The Life of JAMES WILLIAM DALE

Services for James William Dale, 75, of 736 E Broadway, will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Dale died Thrusday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of complications of emphysema. He was born in What Cheer and lived in Des Moines most of his life. He retired in 1972 from the U.S. Postal Services and was a member of the AFL-CIO Postal Workers Union. Surviving are his wife, Wilma; a daughter, Jane Cory of Ankeny; a son, Kenneth of Des Moines; three brothers, Floyd and Kenneth, both of Des Moines, and Albert Jackson of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Stella Fisher of Des Moines and Gertrude Brummett of Odgen; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or the American Lung Association.
