The Life of RAYMOND J THOMPSON

Ray Thompson, 80, of 6841 NW 54th Court, Johnston, died of cancer Wednesday at Hospice Kavanagh House on Grand in West Des Moines.  Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Thompson, former president of TCP of Iowa Inc., was born in Pueblo, CO, and moved to Johnson in 1971.  He had served in the Army Air Corps and was a member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Boline-Manfredi Veterans of Foreign Wars, Johnston American Legion, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine.

He is survived by his wife, Fran; three daughters, Jan Thompson of Long Beach, CA, Judy Johns of San Diego and Keby Thompson of Johnston; and five grandchldren.

The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa.
