The Life of JESSE E GIBSON
Jesse E. Gibson, 71, of 3842 Fifth Ave. died of a heart ailment Sunday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Gibson lived in Des Moines all his life and retired as an equipment installer for AT&T Technology. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of Highland Park Christian Church. Auburn-Union Park Masonic Lodge, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, Royal Arch Masons and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy; two sons, Scott of Des Moines and Charles of California; a daughter, Jeanne Marie Oswood of Stockton, CA; two sisters, Emmadell Thompson of Prairie City and Dorothy Faubion of West Lake Valley, CA; and two grandchildren.
The family will visit with friends from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church or the American Cancer Society.
