The Life of DANIEL H SHEPARD
Services for Daniel H Shepard, 88, of 2824 E Sixteenth St. who died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of a heart attack, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Paul''s Lutheran Church. Burial will be at the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Shepard was born in Melrose but lived most of his life in Des Moines. He was a retired employee of Sargent Feed Co., a member of St. Paul''s Lutheran Church and a World War I veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; a son, James C of Redding, KS; a daughter, Pat Johnson of Des Moines; a sister, Hanora Cronin of Kansas City, KS; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Luther Park or to St. Paul''s Lutheran Church.
