The Life of JACK R SANDBERG
Jack (Sandy) Sandberg, 82, died Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Taylor House Hospice of Congestive Heart Failure. He was born November 10, 1923 to Clarence and Coreene Sandberg in Des Moines, IA.
Sandy served in the United States Army Air Force from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1945.
He worked at 3E, General Electric, co-owner of A&B Motors, and retired as co-owner of Electric Motors Corp in 1987.
Sandy is survived by his wife, Bes M., daughters, Saundra (Vic) Connett of Des Moines, Lorna Langston of Milan, IL, daughter-in-law, Janet Sandberg, six grandchildren: Vic II, Rita, Lynn, Cook, Andy and Victoria, ten great-grandchildren, his brother, Lee Sandberg. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bob Sandberg and two sons, B. Charles and Brad Sandberg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for: Waterworks Memorial Tree Program, Help the Animals, Inc., or Taylor House Hospice.
Visitation will be at 12 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by memorial services at 1 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2006 at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens. Burial of cremated remains following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
