The Life of RAMUN ROBERTS
Ramun Roberts, 79, of 605 NE 50th Ave. died Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center of smoke inhalation resulting from a fire at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Roberts was born in Sweetwater, NE, and moved to Des Moines in 1964 from Menlo. He had been a horse breeder and livestock buyer and was a member of the Iowa and American quarter horse associations.
Surviving are three sons, William of Fountain Valley, CA, and Vern and Marty, both of Des Moines; two sisters, Faye Larkowski of Ravenna, NE and Lillie Fries of Salem, OR; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Iowa Quarter Horse Association.
