The Life of LIEBCHEN WHEELER PRATHER

Liebchen Wheeler Prather, 24, of Quantico, VA., died last Friday in Fairfax, VA., of inuries suffered in an auto accident. Her daughter, Elizabeth Katerina Prather, who was born following the accident, died Tuesday. Joint services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hamilton''s near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, and both will be buried in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Prather was born in Red Oak and lived in Des Moines most of her life until moving to Virginia 2 1/2 years ago. She was a store manager for Fashion Bug Women''s Wear and had been a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, Richard; her mother and stepfather, Sherry and Douglas Butcher of Des Moines; her father and stepmother, Robert and Patricia Wheeler of West Des Moines; a sister, Malisa Ireland of Bainbridge, N.Y.; two stepsisters, Brandie Isley of West Des Moines and Julie Thompson of Des Moiens; three stepbrothers, Chris Rhiner of West Des Moines, Douglas Butcher of Adel and Steve Rhiner of Des Moines; her grandmothers, Violet Flaugh of Des Moines and Lorraine Perkins of Red Oak; her stepgrandmothers, Marge Butcher of Atlantic and Ellen Coll of West Des Moines; and her great-grandmother, Julia Wheeler of Hastings. The family will visit with friends from 8 to 5 p.m. today and again from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
