The Life of DONALD EVERETT MIKSELL

Donald E. Miksell Sr., 64, of the 3000 block of Bowdoin Street died of cancer Tuesday at Hospice Kavanagh House.  Services will be at noon Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Miksell had lived in Des Moines all his life.  He was a retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver with Seneca Corp., an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Boline Manfredi Veterans of Foreign War Post 6692.  He enjoyed family activities, camping and puttering in the garage.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three sons, Ricky, Ronald and Donald Jr., all of Des Moines; a daughter, Susan Reeves of Lorimor; and five grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
