The Life of JANANN E WITMER
Janann E. Witmer, 60, of Grimes died of lung cancer Thursday at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home in Des Moines, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery here.
Mrs. Witmer was born in Des Moines and had lived in Grimes most of her life. She was a farmer and enjoyed her pets and gardening.
She is survived by her husbnad, Jerry of Grimes; three sons, Mike of Urbandale, David of Des Moines and Steve of West Des Moines; her parents, Frances and Roland Peterson of Adel; four sisters, Sandra Vignaroli of Jackson, WY, Annetta Johnson of Des Moines, Nancy Kouri of Longmont, CO, and Karla McDowell of Adel; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Maple Grove Methodist Church.
