The Life of EVA MAE TUBNER

Eva Mae Tubner, 76, of the 600 block of Vista Drive, West Des Moines, died of complications of a kidney ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hamilton''s Near Highland Memory Gardens Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Tubner was born in Pittsburgh, PA, and had lived there and in Chicago before moving with West Des Moines in 2000.  She had been a caregiver and was a member of AME Baptist Church in Pittsburgh.  She enjoyed cooking, spiritual music and caring for others.

She is survived by six daughters, Diane Morefield of West Des Moines, Carlotta Myers of Chicago, Irma Jordan, Maxine Gunnels of Cincinnati, OH, and Bonnie Askew and Doorthea Burke, both of Pittsburgh; two sons, James Jordan and Tony Jordan, and two brothers, James Johnson and Governor Johnson, all of Pittsburgh; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred.

Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to her family.
