The Life of ELBERTA P WATKINS
Elberta P. Watkins, 80, of Centralia, formerly of Des Moines, died of cancer here Tuesday. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Irvin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
Mrs. Watkins was born in Des Moines and lived in Centralia since 1956. She was a retired elementary school teacher and a member of First Christian Church, Walnut Hill Saddle Club, Illinois Retired Teachers Association and AARP.
Survivors include her husband, Homer E.; a son, Kent of Washington, DC; a daughter, Marcia Watkins of Centralia; a sister, Maurine Morgan of Grinnell; and a grandchild.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
