The Life of HOMER E WATKINS

Homer E. Watkins, 82, of Centralia, formerly of Des Moines, died of cancer here Sunday.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at FIrst Christian Church here.  Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.

Mr. Watkins was born in Tulare, SD, and had lived in Des Moines and Sioux City, IA.  He retired as a minister of First Christina Church here.  From 1944 to 1956, he was a minister at First Christian Church and from 1948 to 1954, he taught school at Morningside College, both in Sioux City.

Survivors include a son, D. Kent of Washington, DC; a daughter, Marcia J. Watkins of Centralia; a brother, Clark L. of Grinnell, IA; a sister, Gladys Sisson of Redfield, SD; and one grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or synagogue of the donor''s choice or Rotary International.
