The Life of CHARLES PRESTON HALE
Services for Charles P. Hale, 81, of Granger, who died of cancer Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital after a 14-month illness, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hale, a former Polk County grand juror, was a farmer before his retirement in 1960. He was born in Omaha, NB, and lived in the Granger area since 1917.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Esther Schlenker of Des Moines; a son, Floyd of Polk City; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
