The Life of CARL AUGUST GUSTAFSON
Services for Carl A. Gustafson, 83, of 1320 E. Fifteenth St. will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, with burial in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Gustafson died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. He had been ill two years.
A native of Sweden, Mr. Gustafson lived in Des Moines since 1914. He was a retired but driver for the Des Moines Transit Co., and a member of Union Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Hildur; a son, Albert of Menomonee Falls, WI; two brother, Axel of Cincinnati, OH, and Holger, living in Sweden; a sister, Mrs. Elna Svensson, living in Sweden, and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Union Park Church.
