The Life of LORENA F STITZELL
Lorena F. Stitzell, 85, of 3505 Columbia St. died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. A graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery will precede an 11 a.m. Memorial Service at Highland Park Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Stitzell was born in Jewell and lived in Des Moines most of her life. She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Lutheran Church and Des Moines Garden Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Jeannine Pfister of Des Moines, and Gwendolyn Stitzell of Pleasant Hill, CA; a son, Glenn; and a sister, Rophie McDonald, both of Des Moines; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Highland Park Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to her church.
