The Life of ALBERT ROOSEVELT PATTON

Albert Roosevelt Patton, 86, of the 2500 block of East Walnut Street died of complications of Alzheimer''''s disease Friday at Altoona Manor Care Center in Altoona.  Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton''''s Funeral Home, with burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Mr. Patton was born in Kansas City, Mo., and had lived in Des Moines since 1952. He was a retired parts manager with Iowa Truck Center and a member of Simpson United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and Eastgate Masonic Lodge.  He enjoyed working with his hands, gardening and carpentry.

Surviving are his wife, Nedra; two daughters, Barbara Mulcahy of North Barrington, Ill., and Gloria Archer of Haltom City, Texas; a stepdaughter, Karen Warren of Des Moines; and a sister, Mary Ellen O''''Quinn of Phoenix; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to his church of Eastgate Masonic Lodge.
