The Life of EDITH HOCKERSMITH
Mrs. Edith Hockersmith, 85, of 3802 Bowdoin st., died at the Americana Nursing Center, 309 Laurel St., Wednesday after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Hockersmith, born in Walton, KS, had lived in Des Moines 50 years and was a retired proof-reader for the state. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Ankeny.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Arnold''s Highland Park Funeral Home, with burial in the Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
There are no immediate family survivors.
