The Life of VIVIAN JOY CAREY
Vivian J. Carey, 60, of 9604 Aurora Ave. died of cancer Friday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at First Federated Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mrs. Carey was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. She had been a homemaker and assisted her husband, Al in Al Carey''s Landscaping Company.
Survivors in addition to her husband include two sons, Michael of Las Vegas, NV, and Bob of Urbandale; two daughter, Crystal Schryver of Urbandale and Debra Reed of Clive; four sisters, Lorna Williams of Des Moines, Bessie Bryan of St. Paul, MN, Mildred Barnes of Johnson City, NY, and Mary Crow of Arnold''s Park; three brothers, Bob Lawhead of San Jose, CA, Windell Lawhead of Waukegan, IL, and Don Lawhead of Phoenix, AZ; and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Dunn''s Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of First Federated Church.
